IN ENGLISH:
I'm back in Italy last Thursday after a traumatic air travel (only for the psycological aspect not for other...) and I immediately run to the Hospital.
I flight with 17.000 platelets and when I was just arrived she send me to the Emergency Room for doing the "medulla aspiration" and trying to understand if my problem could be caused by some bad ill as Leukemia. Fortunally, I don't have anything, everything is fine and so, my problem is called in Italian "piastrinopenia idiopatica"... that is, my antibodies kill my platelets. I can't know why but they do. And I have had a terrible fall last autumn because I did the flu vaccine and I didn't know I couldn't do it.
So, once my doctor has understood I just have a "pianistropenia idiopatica" I've started a therapy based by cortisone. One flebo for 4 days and this morning I repeated my CBC: 92.000 platelets on my body.
A great news!
Now, I must repeat the CBC next Friday and after I gotta do the second part of the therapy after next 15 days.
Next days I'll talk about the dangerous of the flight if you have low platelets.
